HomeGroups Leader
August 9, 2008
It’s easy to become an anonymous worshiper Sunday mornings at Catalyst. It takes effort to risk building relationships with other Christ-followers. Community is key to spiritual growth; Jesus always spoke of His followers together in plurality, never solo.
For Catalyst, as we grow outward on Sundays, we need to grow inward during the week. HomeGroups are the vehicle for community as first established by the early church. In the past year, we’ve learned that a strong shepherding leader overseeing all groups & empowering a central leader for each group is essential to HomeGroups’ overall success.
HomeGroups will be ramping back up for a new season this September, revitalized and revamped with a new leader coming on board. Ben Seals will be taking the helm of HomeGroups, bringing clarity and a new focus aimed at building biblical community in homes throughout north-east Ohio. Ben has a passion for pouring into other’s lives – - this will be seen over time as Ben begins raising up and pouring into new men who will in turn help shepherd an individual HomeGroup.
Please be praying in the weeks ahead for the Spirit to create unity and deeper community as Ben helps plant new HomeGroups throughout Catalyst.
